Akshay is a physical therapist who has completed his Master’s from the University of Indianapolis. Coming from a sports background and being a national medalist in swimming, in India, he has immense depth and understanding of orthopedic and sports-related injuries. Prior to pursuing his master’s Akshay has also been the physical therapist of the Indian National Soccer Team helping players with on-field injuries and rehabilitation to improve functional performance across international tournaments. He has worked in different settings across Indiana and Florida with a prime interest in outpatient clinics. His interest in spine and sports/orthopedic related injuries has also moved him to complete his Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy(COMT) from the Institute of Manipulative Physiotherapy and Clinical Training, Colorado. Akshay is a strong patient advocate for movement and bringing the fun back in “dysFUNction”. He is of the belief that “movement can replace many drugs, but no drug can replace movements”.
